Gothenburg, Sweden, May 4 2026
RTI, a global provider of quality assurance (QA) solutions for diagnostic radiology, reports continued growth for its Mako X-ray QA platform in North America during the first quarter of 2026.
In the United States, the largest and most competitive QA market, Mako sales increased by approximately 20% year-on-year. The growth reflects continued demand for high-precision measurement solutions combined with efficient digital workflows, despite a more uncertain external environment.
Steve Holmes, VP Sales North America, comments: “We are seeing strong traction for Mako across the US market. Customers are increasingly focused on both measurement performance and workflow efficiency. Mako, together with our software and cloud solutions, addresses these needs in a very tangible way.”
RTI has over time made significant investments in innovation, most recently with the introduction of the Mako Display app, which represents a further step toward more integrated and connected QA workflows, moving beyond traditional standalone devices.
Michael Olding, VP Solutions, adds: “The market is moving away from legacy solutions. Customers expect innovation, higher precision, and seamless software integration. That is where we are focused, developing future-proof solutions built to evolve, and it is a key driver behind our growth.”
North America remains a key market for RTI, with a well-established customer base across hospitals, service organizations, and OEM partners. The company continues to strengthen its position through its integrated offering, combining hardware, software, and cloud-based functionality.
