RTI Recalibrations & Extended Warranty

We are currently running an information campaign for recalibrations, extended warranty, and prepaid recalibrations. Therefore, we are asking you to reach out to all your existing RTI customer.
Recalibrations
Many RTI instruments never come back for recalibration. A few customers have sent their meters to independent organizations for a check-up. This is not really a calibration, but simply a cross-check.
- This only gives them information about how accurate their meter is (or isn’t).
- No adjustment is done – only we can adjust our own meters.
- A meter sent to RTI always gets all the latest calibrations – the same as a new meter bought today would have (applicable for the Black Piranha and Cobia).
- The firmware (internal software inside the meter) is upgraded as well.
Prepaid recalibrations
With their meter purchase, more and more customers make use of our offer of prepaid calibrations. This is very beneficial for both customers and distributors.
For the customer, the total lifetime cost for their RTI solution is already paid upon the meter purchase. Any future increases in calibration fees at RTI will not affect prepaying customers. So, no surprises in the future!
As a distributor, you receive your part of the calibration fees already when the meter is purchased.
Extended Warranty
By adding another 20 % to the recalibration price, the customer gets an additional two (2) years of factory warranty on their RTI solution. This process could be repeated, extending the warranty up to a total of ten (10) years.
The cost for an RTI Extended Warranty can also be prepaid when the meter is purchased. Again, no surprises in the future for the customer!
