PRESSRELEASE

Gothenburg, Sweden, February 2, 2026

RTI, a global leader in quality assurance solutions for diagnostic radiology, today announced that Mako sales in the United States more than doubled in 2025 compared to the previous year, reflecting strong adoption of RTI’s next generation quality assurance platform.
Mako is RTI’s premium quality assurance solution, offering the broadest application range on the market with plug-and-play simplicity and comprehensive measurement capabilities across Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Dental, and Mammography. The offering was further strengthened in 2025 with the launch of Mako Display, an app-powered, fully wireless display that enables instant X ray measurements on smartphones and tablets.
Alongside the rapid growth of Mako, sales of RTI’s established quality assurance meter portfolio in the United States remained stable during 2025, highlighting continued customer confidence across both new and existing solutions.

Steve Holmes, Vice President Sales at RTI Group in North America, says:
What really differentiates Mako is that it supports all X-ray imaging modalities, including mammography, where quality assurance requirements are especially demanding and where other solutions fall short. Mako is a welcomed innovation in a market that has long relied on legacy platforms dating back 10 years or more. Today, the market requires a solution that is not only more accurate and efficient, but also ready for the future to support a long-standing, sustainable approach to quality assurance. Customers trust RTI because we deliver accuracy and reliability across the full clinical spectrum. Mako is supported by the strongest software platform on the market, and we continue to raise the bar through ongoing innovation, including the launch of the Mako Display app. Customers want a partner that combines deep clinical expertise with continuous innovation leadership.”

The Mako solution combines plug and play simplicity, fully wireless connectivity, and direct data export to Excel. Designed to complement RTI’s Ocean software, it provides field users with immediate results and high flexibility while remaining fully integrated within RTI’s quality assurance ecosystem. Together, the Mako meter and Mako Display form a complete, future ready solution for next generation X-ray testing.
