Measuring kV, dose & pulses in fluoroscopy (interventional & surgery) with Mako

The Mako R/F system measures all required parameters across radiography, fluoroscopy (interventional, cardiovascular, and surgical applications), CT and dental modalities, from highest to lowest dose rates in one Probe, with no settings.

The Mako R/F Probe has a small radiological footprint for measurement in AEC test applications, measuring kV, dose, pulses and more.

Application coverage

  • Fluoroscopy is a common technique used in Interventional, surgical and vascular X-ray systems.
  • Fluoroscopy is the technique of using pulsed radiation, typically with lower dose rate than radiography, but used for longer periods
  • Real-time pulsed X-rays are used to aid in interventional medical procedures, such as to track catheter insertion into a patient
  • In addition to kV, dose, dose rate, exposure time, HVL and total filtration, fluoroscopy measurements can also include # pulses, dose per pulse, and pulses per second.
  • QA measurements require a detector that can handle low dose rates and short pulse as well as high lengths (RTI Mako, RTI Piranha & RTI Dose Probe)
